Mandarin ducks : Mandarin ducks are known as a symbol of harmony because they are always seen together as a happy couple.
Seigaiha (青海波) : The pattern of gently rolling waves extending endlessly symbolizes a wish for eternal happiness and a peaceful life. It is also said to originate from the Bugaku dance piece “Seigaiha,” and is often seen in the costumes of its performers.
